Description

Early one morning in January, we started out on a hike to The Window in Big Bend and encountered ice-covered trails and vegetation. At several points we had to slide down boulders on our rears or cross icy "bridges" to reach our destination. By the time we started our return trip, the ice was melting and the sky was beginning to clear. I turned to look behind me and saw beautiful clouds forming a perfect backdrop for the mountainside.
